Plain words about what Gada collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Your name, email address and country when you create an account, whether you sign in with Google, Apple or email.
Payment details are collected and stored by our payment partner. Gada never sees or stores your full card number.
How you use Gada: pages visited, emails opened, and the pledge card you share. We use this to make the product work and to report on the village as a whole, never to profile you individually.
How we use it
To take your monthly pledge and send you a receipt.
To send your monthly impact report and occasional updates on programmes. You can turn these off in Settings at any time.
To issue your digital member ID and pledge card, and to show your first name and member number if you choose to share them.
To meet our legal obligations, including anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering checks carried out by our payment partner.
Children and beneficiaries
Stories, names and images of children and communities appear on Gada only with documented consent from a parent or guardian and the partner organisation. If you believe an image has been used without consent, write to safeguarding@gada.co and we will remove it within 48 hours.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your data from Settings, or by emailing privacy@gada.co. Deleting your account cancels your pledge. Your member number is retired and not reissued.
We keep transaction records for as long as the law requires, typically seven years, and nothing else once you leave.
