Membership

Gada is a membership, not a charity appeal. By joining you pledge a fixed $10 every month, which is pooled with every other member’s pledge and deployed to programmes across education, healthcare, food and water, community infrastructure and disaster relief.

You must be 18 or over to join. Organisations join separately through a CSR partnership agreement.

Your pledge

Your first $10 is charged when you join and then on the same date each month. Payment processing fees, taxes and any foreign exchange costs are shown to you before you pay and on every receipt.

You can pause your pledge for up to three months or cancel it at any time from Settings. Cancelling stops future charges. Pledges already deployed are not refundable.

If a payment fails we will email you and retry over the following seven days before pausing your membership.

How funds are deployed

Pooled pledges are allocated to programmes run by Gada or by trusted partner organisations. Members are consulted through polls, and every deployment is reported to members monthly with the programme, amount, people reached and supporting receipts.

Gada may hold funds for up to 90 days between collection and deployment so that programmes can be funded in full rather than in fragments.

Member ID and pledge card

Your digital member ID and pledge card are personal to you. You may share them publicly. You may not sell them, alter them, or use the Gada name or marks to raise money on Gada’s behalf without written permission.

Content and conduct

Anything you post in polls or forms must be lawful and respectful. We remove content that targets a person or a community and may end the membership of anyone who does so.

Changes to these terms

If we change how pledges are charged or deployed we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing your pledge after that date means you accept the new terms.

Liability and law

Gada provides the platform as it is. To the extent the law allows, Gada is not liable for indirect losses. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting rights you have as a consumer where you live.
